ABOUT
Hi, I'm Melanie. I design all the jewellery you see on my website in my home studio in the UK. I have three beautiful children; Alexa, Leo and Rowan who are the original inspiration behind the Alléro brand.
The story...
Designing jewellery came to me relatively late in the game compared to many, although I have always had a creative eye.
My childhood was spent either knee deep in mud pies or painting cartoon characters on my bedroom wall! As a young adult I progressed from my bedroom wall to canvasses, creating drawings and paintings for friends and family as gifts.
I was lucky enough to go to University where I studied Physical Geography and from there my life took a different turn with my passion for painting taking more of a back seat.
In 2020 and during lockdown I rediscovered a passion for art in the form of silversmithing and jewellery design and haven't looked back since!!
The process...
Every piece tells a story and is made with genuine love. With my trusty notebook in-hand, I sketch out all of my designs, taking inspiration from all around me, whether I’m sitting by the river in my hometown, feeling inspired by my travels or just simply re-discovering a childhood memory (growing up in the beautiful Devon countryside and near the coast certainly gives me plenty of inspiration!).
Each piece that I create is a captured moment in time that evolves from a simple idea into something really special. Needless to say sometimes I have to rein in my imagination a little as I have to remind myself that my designs still need to be achievable...and wearable!
Once I’ve decided what materials to work with I then swap my notebook for my trusty piercing saw and blowtorch and get to work!

Individually handcrafted using a range of silversmithing techniques, each piece of jewellery is brought to life and turned into something truly unique. It gives me an enormous sense of pride and happiness to be able to share my passion with you.
